Get ready to catch some feels from Jordan and Jesse's rustic chic wedding! These two ran away to the scenic mountains of Seward Alaska with their loved ones for an intimate ceremony where they could start a new chapter as a family. After an emotional first look and ceremony, there was a fun and casual celebratory feast full of sweets and bubbly!
It was easy for us to capture the love between these two..I love capturing the couple's joy and emotions, as well as the thoughtful and meaningful details that represent who the couple is together.
If what they say about rain on your wedding day being lucky is just something to calm a nervous bride's nerves, what they really need to say is that it creates a warm, cozy, intimate atmosphere the way only Mother Nature can. Rain or shine, Nickie and Keith were determined to have an amazing wedding, and they did. They said I do while being interrupted by the rain, but instead of ruining the wedding it added an ethereal charm to their day that made it perfect. Beautiful florals complimented the crisp and clean pink gowns of all the ladies. Soft and sweet touches can be seen all through the day.
We initially became acquaintances five years ago through our children who attended school together. It seemed that we always arrived at the exact same time to pick up our kids. I remember Cory always opening doors for me and that he had the best smile ever. However, due to life circumstances at the time, we were relegated to just those small instances each day.
On October 14, 2013, one of my close friends suggested that we meet up with a good friend of hers that she just knew I would just love. Cory was out on a rare occasion, as his father had recently passed away. As soon as I walked through the door, I immediately recognized him, and was honestly and truly excited to finally have the chance to set down and talk with him. Though we were in a crowded room, it was as if we were the only two people there.
Two years later to the date, we made a formal lifelong commitment to each other and our children. In this short time we have been through so much together. We worked to support and uplift each other wholly the entire way. I can honestly say we are best friends and soulmates. I wouldn’t change anything, however bad, that we both had to endure prior to our coupling, as it led us to one another.
We met our senior year in high school. Amy was a wrestling manager and Chris was one of the captains. Although we started dating in high school we weren't exactly high school sweethearts. Neither of us were really the other's type. But unexpectedly we made something great. Though there were some rough bumps in the beginning, Mar, the maid of honor, was there to help us through it.
We never would have predicted it, but a few years later we moved from Alaska to Pennsylvania. A few months later we adopted our dog Wasabi and bought our first home. Amy has always hated surprises and our engagement was no different. Keeping up with our untraditional route, Amy proposed to Chris. Things have not always gone the expected path with us, including a last minute move out of the rain on our wedding day. We've made it work wonderfully together and wouldn't have it any other way.
Our love story started at Haskell Indian Nations University, where Victor was captain of the football team and I was an honor roll student. Our first night we met I approached him as he was playing pool and we ended up spending hours talking and it felt like we were the only two there. We both knew we had something special and from that point on I became his number one football fan and he became the snow under my board. Without him I went nowhere. After one year into our relationship we decided it was time to adopt our dog, Bubba. This became a crucial part of our relationship and Bubba even played a role in Victor’s proposal to me. Leading up to Victors senior season, we took a family walk for Mother's Day up to the Haskell football stadium. Victor called Bubba over to him and said," Because of Mother's Day your baby-boy Bubba has a present for you”. I had no idea what was coming until Victor got down on one knee, then I started to cry as I said, “Yes!”. Since then we have devoted ourselves to making each other as happy as possible, because Victor and I will be making our own history together forever.
